This shows the 80-82 difference, clearly angled because camber bracket was moved backwards to the lid to case mounting flange instead of directly under the pumpkin.
on the pre-79 rear ends the strut rods where (i believe) mounted a little closer to the rear end housing; problem is when the vette would squat it would cause more camber in the tires (i think camber was the right word). so in the 80-82 with the new aluminum batwing they repositioned the strut arms to cause less camber. there is a kit out there that can reposition your pre-79 strut arms to cause less camber.
63-74 small ends
75-79 large ends
80-82 large angle ends
63-74 uses small bushings
75-82 uses large bushings
63-74 fit on 63-79
74-79 won't fit on 63-74 without grinding the support for clearance
80-82 fits 80-82 only
