Default Fuel pump outlet configuration

The fuel pump on my 71 270hp 350 has the fuel line from the tank and return lines opposite the block pointing towards the frame and the outlet to carb located towards the front, I ordered a new A/C pump and the feed and return are the same place but the outlet is in the rear, completely opposite of what is on the car now. What is the correct line location for a 71 270hp engine?

Thanks Duke, it looks exactly like that so I just need the 1 fitting you have, my outlet is currently in the front and the fuel line goes directly into the pump, so I'll stop by NAPA on the way home and search for that fitting.
