OK,
Problem #1
Do the hazards work normally with ignition off? Did you check the pinout on the connector before replacing the defective switch?
Problem #2
Do the headlight doors open as well as the wiper door?
I would suspect you have crossed the vacuum lines to the switches under the steering column when reassembling the dash.
I fought the same problems....
Head lights- As your sitting in the seat, the right vacume switch closest
to the gas pedal, the rear hose has come off,it happens when romoving the steering column plastic.
Hazards, this one is a bitch....
I went through 4, before figuring this out. After it's all back together, you move the turn sig switch a little they go off right? Move again, they come back on. First,do you have the spring on the column that fits just under the steering wheel hub? If not, get one. Second, what screw did you use to attach the turn signal lever, if you used one that is too big,it spreads the cheap metal out and wont let the switch center properly.
