I am thinking about swapping out my stock 350 engine and putting in a more modern engine(LS1,LS6). What special modifications would I need to make (ie moving the motor mounts)? Has anyone does this before and how did it turn out?
I know this isn't the answers you were looking for, but it's a big list. There are a ton of threads started about this very same swap. First, do an advanced search.
Click search, and then in that window click the link for 'Advanced Search.'
Then, in the new search window, at the bottom left, check the archive box, and at the right, select C3 Corvette 1968-1982, and enter your search words. Use LS1 swap, LS6 swap...ect ect.
I don't know if they made changes to the chassis from the early C3's to the later C3's that would effect the swap, but thought you might be interested in this site - http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/70lt1/ls1.shtml
