What can stock pistons take?
Can a stock cast piston handle 10.2:1 compression? I wondering about switching my heads to 64cc chambers and leaving the stock cast garbage in there. By the way, what is the deck height on a new engine that hasn't been machined yet?

i ran 22psi boost on cast pistons in a slant 6. Once i ran 30 psi and got a tick from one piston, so i switched to forged.
So if you run a blower forged is a good idea.
the most important thing is to keep them from overheating

you should be fine..one of my circle track motors i build has a stock piston rule and we run 10.1 comp.they turn 6600 rpm constantly all season.as long as your not running nitrous on it.
