GM Fuel Pump Questions?

GM Fuel Pump Questions?
I have a GM Street Performance Pump # 12355612 on my 3.55. I am not a mechanic, so excuse me if these questions are stupid.
#1 6.5 to 8 Psi @ 1800 rpms, Does that mean more or less say @ 5,000?
#2 Pump has 7 Psi shutoff pressure. Does that mean that it physically shuts
off fuel or is it regulated not to exceed 7 Psi and still deliver full flow?
#3 How do you calculate fuel requirements at WOT for a carbuerator?
#4 Does vortex created in the fuel line have any effect on fuel delivery to the
carbuerator floats and later the engine?
#5 Should the fuel line be hydraulicly balanced to the primaries and
secondaries? I realize that this is probally insignificant except at WOT.
