Default Big block swap

I am considering swapping a big block for a small block in a '68 vert with a 4 speed. Is this a difficult/expensive endeavor?

I will hire someone to do this. What is a fair price for this job?

Your going the opposite direction of many others on this forum. Maybe someone will trade brackets and stuff with you.

I'm currently doing the swap to my '76 Corvette. Everybody on the forum was right, it's not exactly a cheap process. Here's my advise (this was given to me by some of the forum members). Figure out what it's going to cost you to do the swap....then double it. I'm building the engine myself and dropping it in myself. Hiring someone to do this will add to the expense (I'm not sure what the going rate for a mechanic is these days). It's not cheap, do your research and see what you think.

Let me clarify myself. I am sorry it is unclear.

I want to put a big block in a small block car.

Sorry for the confusion.

This is just a guestimate.2-4,000 for engine, 1-2,000 for labor, 1,000 for brackets and misc..... You might want to find a big block car thats done already.
