Thanks for the input Jack. I don't even drive the car unless its above 45 and sunny, so that shouldn't be a problem. I also never "hammer" it.....too scared! I guess the 33 year old thing just gets to me.
Try it, you'll probably like it ... if so, stock up on CI4plus ... it'll be disappearing as it's replaced by CJ.
jackson- what do you think of their suggestion to add a 4oz bottle of GM camshaft and lifter prelube to each oil change if you're using an API SM/GF-4 rated street oil?

Interesting article. The GM E.O.S. is what I've been using for some time now. I add 1 ounce per quart at every oil change.

As long as I have ready access to a good oil w/ a good wearpak at a decent price ... I don't see the need for prelube in daily use. Failing that, I'd probably routinely use the prelube. BTW ... the article mentions 2 unnamed companies that make lotsa cam blanks ... one is CWC Castings at Grand Haven MI ... a division of Textron ... I can't recall who the other one is.
I got a 74 BB about 2 weeks ago and noticed the condensation when starting too. Glad to hear it is normal after sitting for a week. I was planning on using the Valvoline oil for high mile cars (little bit of seal sweller).
