VIN #
Does anyone know where I can buy a vin tag for my window post? The car has a good title and all numbers match but the tag is gone. When the new side posts were installed the tag was lost.

Before trying to buy a replacement VIN tag, I would contact your DMV to see what the local laws are in your area. Most states will not allow reproduction VIN tags. If it is lost or damaged, the state will issue you a new vin. Check it out before taking any action.

Thanks for the information Tom. I will check with the DMV. My friend said they will issue me a random vin tag. He said he knows someone who can reproduce the original #'s for $$$. I don't think it to be too big a deal to have a new state one as long as I have the correct vin on the title to prove matching #'s.
