Pics of the Super Chevy Show at Virginia Motorsports Park, Sunday 10/7
I've posted some pics of the Super Chevy Show at http://users.erols.com/jerryp58/pictures/.
It's the first time I've gone to that show & to the VMP.
It's a nice facility and it was a nice event.
I think I'll plan on spending more time there next year.
The vendor area was interesting.
I really liked seeing chromed rallyes (from "Roger's Wheels & tires", in Winston-Salem, NC) in person. They look  and are cheap by today's standards.
It was also interesting to see a 700R4 (from TPI Performance) up close sitting right next to a 350.
GM had a 502 crate motor there, but not the 350 RamJet :(
The show area had some very nice cars.
I'm partial to the 32, 33, & 34 "hot rods".
It was interesting to see a Z06 in a '61 (whoops! after looking at the cove, I guess that's a '62).
There were some nice C3s there as well.
There were plenty of 9 & 10 second street cars there.
Very impressive!
It was interesting to see the "quiet" stock C5s and Camaros turning 13s.
It's amazing how different a couple or few seconds appears in that short distance.
I still think I'm going to try to find some quiet Friday to go there and try my basically stock, tired '77.
Should be fun.

I went to the show sat. and it rained all day. They did finally get to run later that night around 6:00. Even then they only ran 1/8th miles b/c the other end of the track was still a little wet. Seen a '94 camaro stand it up on the rear bumper that was impressive, could see everything under the car. they have a lot of nice shows down a vmp. I've heared the friday night test N tune is really busy.
