I did a search, but really didn't come up with anything. I know you guys can help me. I understand the basic theory behind how a torque converter works, but get lost when people start talking about small converters. If I had two converters with the same stall speed, what is the difference between an 11" and an 8"? Please keep it simple
but obviously for any given engine the 8" converter will flash to a much higher stall speed than designed for much faster than the larger one....giving more torque multiplication and engine more up on HP/torque curve.....
no free lunch though, it gets hotter than hell, lotsa slippage, unless of course i'ts a locking converter on the highway.....if not, it's a dragrace only type mod....or get one hell of a cooler....
