Yep It's broken AGAIN!!!
I'm sorry, but after that 22 page fiasco about your engine being dead, you seem like a "woe is me" person here. If you need a car to get to and from work, go buy a used civic. All your posts are "help!!"
To me, you just sound like a guy asking for pity, constantly. Fix the car (i.e. pay someone), and move on.
What was that all about? Everyone starts somewhere and doesn't get anywhere without help.

This is an open forum, I ask questions when I want to and other forum users answer IF THEY CHOOSE TO! nobody is forced to ANYTHING!
You don't wanna help? fine but I really don't need to hear what you think..I don't care.
For everybody else thanks for being so helpful!
yes my threads are always about asking for help, I wish I could help back but I'm not gonna talk about something I don't know.
Maybe in a few years I will be able to help others in my current situation.
Until then, All I can do is learn.
Best off to buy a new HEI dist. If one piece is bad, the rest will follow soon. You can buy a new low budget one from ebay.
Changing the distributor can seem overwhelming the first time, especially when it doesn't run afterwards or runs like crap. You will probably mix up the plug wires or get the distributor off one tooth. It can be done in an afternoon with some tech papers from this forum. You will learn lots and you can swap it in your driveway.
........................while you're at it, change the plugs, wires, get a timing light and set timing at 36* @ 3200 rpm.
........................while you're at it, you may as well pull the engine again, strip and paint the frame, firewall, etc.... Can't put ramshorns on a nice shiny engine, better get some Jet Hot coated headers....
See how easy the "While You're At It" bug is?

Other then that it's a very pretty day in Houston!!!
Car would not hold the idle, i tryed to adjust it but he would just die at every stop sign or light.
I Went and got some gas, car started afterwords and as I was exiting the station, te engine stoped and now no way to get it to start again. t's not the battery, the engine doesn't crank i tried giving it gas...or not it doesn't even sound like it's gonna start.
Things I've noticed the GEN light was on each time the car died on me and it s on when I try to stat the car. Also....I have a little bit of white smoke coming out of both exaust. I took the Air claner off and when I try to start the car I can see Fumes/ smoke coming out of the carburator....
If you don't know about my car...It's the 3rd engine in it since i got it 8 months ago (stock, new and rebuilt)
HELP??
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I brought it to the guy who insalled my exhaust. His dad is the own er of the shop and he has 5 corvettes including 2 c3s
yes it was the ignition module.
I'm getting the carb and timing done for $45 I think it s a good enough price NOT to spend an entire afternoon on it and buy a timing flashing light.
I had some problems with my carb als (deffective) but I learned how to change it and replaced it on my own on the Oreilly's parking lot...It might be nothing to most of you guys here but I was pretty happy to save some money and learn at the same time.
Thanks to the ones offering to help me
I'm waiting for the car back and I have some Major vibrations problems I want some of you guys to check out if you can (mega etc...)
It was jus not drivable for more then 5 mn before

I'm trying to save some money and buy a crappy car to drive to work. I really can't depend on my vette but I love it and won't sell it. It's juste a car I need to learn to work on and I can't do that when it's suppose to be working every da to take me to work

Did you check if fuel is actually flowing during cranking?
Maybe the distributor/coil or fuel pump is bad...
The fuel filter could be clogged etc. etc. etc..
Glad that it was an inexpensive fix!!
MDJice, if you wanna learn, grab some wrenches. People can tell you everything in the world, but you'll learn it in an instant the second you use a little intuition and take it apart.
