Default Brzezinski Ported Manifolds

Brzezinski claims to take a stock 3927184 and rework to gain 24hp @ 6500 rpm and keep the original look and numbers.

Has anyone had any experience with his product/work? If so what gains are expected for street use?

Who knows where the 24hp increase came from ... a motor with 600" lift cam already making 475hp w/ a stock intake?

His hidden head/intake stuff is intended for race cars ... where some classes restricted rules PROHIBIT anything but production stuff. It's old hat around here ... it routinely gets tossed (DQ) at tracks' tech shed. Unless you just wanna spend lotsa $ ... just buy a decent intake.

I want matching numbers, therefore need to use a stock intake. Can I do anything with the stock to improve hp?

SoCal,

I want to leave my BB LS-5 stock looking, plus there's the hood height issue on BB cars. Hence I have been researching and looking at intake porting for a well. The Brendesi, spelling? units are expensive to say the least. Check out Gessler at gesslerheadporting.com They are going to get an intake from me one of these days. That guy builds some great stuff to .. check out HotRod etc. So for a little more than the price of an intake you might get a good unit from Gessler. I really like the idea of a manifold ported to my head too...
