Default Manual to Automatic conversion, electrical question

In a former live my 1972 BB was converted from manual to auto. Unfortunately the safety switch was missing!

How and what needs to be rewired, to get a safety switch working?

The neutral safety switch is located on the right side of the shifter mechanism under the console plate. That switch also has the backup light switch in it, I believe. So, there should be two connectors in the console for it to connect with. One has a pink and a light green wire (backup) and one has two purple wires (neu. start). If you don't already have the connectors in the console, you will have to get a wiring diagram for your car. Check out both the way your car was originally wired and the automatic wiring diagram. Find where you can splice to the right leads, if you need to.

OK, the car presently has an automatic, and you need find the two purple wires for the starter safety crap....and hook them to the switch, it will not be a plug in, you will have to find the wires in the harness, probably taped up together and tied off from the old stickshift...under thehood/tranny tunnel maybe?? feed through the floorboard and connect to your switch mabye you have a harness connector to the new switch on the shifter?? the backup lights are another issue, totally unrelated...

PM me if questions....

But in the center consol there is a plug that fits the Automatic Nutral Safety Switch, only when I use it it does not work. (So both plug are in the wireing Auto and Man)
