Well, you'd be better off waiting to see exactly what's under the bellhousing before you spend $$. There are 2 different size flywheels that were used for your car, 12 3/4" dia having 153 teeth and 14" dia having 168 teeth. The 168 tooth wheel used 10 1/2" or an 11" clutch while the 153 tooth only used a 10 1/2" clutch.

You can generally determine the size of the flywheel by looking at the starter bolts, if they're offset at an angle you'll have the 14" flywheel if they are in line you have the 12 3/4".

There are two spline counts on the transmission, 10 and 26. So make sure you not only get the right diameter clutch but also the right one for your transmission. Usually the 10 spline was for light duty and the 24 for heaver duty. When first got my car it was an L48 but someone had replaced the transmission and installed a 26 spline Muncie so you never know.

I have a Centerforce II clutch behind my ZZ4. It's a good clutch but probably more than I need. If I did it again I'd get a GM OEM type.

Don't know any 10.4 inch clutch application for 1974, all should be 11 inch with the 168 tooth flywheel.

Last 10 spline tranny was 1970 so if original tranny, it will be 26 spline with no differentation between LD and HD. All 64-70 Muncies were 10 spline and all 71-74s were 26 spline. Even if you have the Warner T-10 in your 74, it will be 26 spline.

I just put a center force dual friction in mine, the dual friction was a few bucks less than the center force 2, if you get the kit (clutch and pressure plate). It was 11 inch 26 spline
