My brother-in-law has a 76 and adjusted the cables under the hood because it was hard to open. Unfortunately he may have adjusted them the wrong way because now the hood won't open at all.
Is there a trick to getting the hood open when it won't open by conventional means? I am a former C4 owner (now C5) and I know how to open the hood on a C4 when it is stuck but not a C3. All responses appreciated.
If that doesn't work, then you can go and take everythin out underneath the latch and snake your hand up through with a screw driver as well. I could not get the screw driver through the port technique down so I did it my way. Then I took out the latches so it wouldn't shut on me again.

Posting on the open forum how to have this kind of access to our cars does not seem very smart

Why? He asked how to open his hood. He did not ask how to steal a car. It's not a giant secret.
I have been aware of it since the 70s & have been e-mailing how to do it. The hood open topics were deleted before M-A put part of it on their website & that's why you will not find old topics on it.

How to get in under the hood and how to steal or vandlize are not very far removed.
There are alot of very bad folks who could misuse this info.
Just my 2 cents
