Default Does anyone use a G-Tech RR Pro Performance Meter?

I saw this in a magazine today and am VERY VERY interested in getting one, but I have some questions. I'm going to call them tomorrow, but thought I would see if I can get some answers here tonight.

How accurate are these? Is it really going to give accurate data on HP, Torque, Reaction Time, MPH and info on my runs by just being stuck to my window?

Will this tell me if my shifting is not as good as it could be?

There isn't any problems with not being stock is there? My 78's got 295 65 15's on the rear and a zz502 with a Demon 850 carb. Does it allow me to input this data and accuratly give data?

Don't know if this helps, but I have the Beltronics Vector Fx-1 and like it. I picked it up for like $79 from Amazon and think it was worth the price. it's easy to use and seems to be accurate. You can really tell the difference between a good and bad run with this thing. If you know the exact weight of your car, you can input that and get a HP rating across a given range.

Stock or not, it just measures time and distance.

for me, the extra $ for the fancier units wasn't worth it. I didn't really have a need to upload run data to a computer or anything like that.

Happy shopping!

Thanks!

Although I do like having the option of downloading data to my computer and comparing 4 runs side by side.

See link below....get it and enjoy it. If you got any questions let me know but I highly recommend it if you got the time and some free roads or a local drag strip to have some good clean fun.

I have a basic G-tech and have used it on 22 cars (including a couple of motorcycles).

I can't speak for its accuracy, but it IS very repeatable and provides comparable results between different cars.

They are easily calibrated (just rotate it vertically and it should read 1 G).

I would buy the new version if I were into serious tuning, however looking at peak power between cars and to check my simple mods before and after the basic one works fine.

That was some good info. I am going to call the company tomorrow and ask a few more questions, but I think I'm going to order it.

I think you"ll be very happy with one, i like mine, only problem is there very sentive to viberation like if you have headers and a big cam it thinks you started a run when in fact all you did was rev the engine and haden"t let off the clutch yet. as far as being accurate i havent tried it on the drag strip but i think it would be very accurate it showed my dodge hemi @345hp exactly what dodge said it was
