Default New pictures, cool

Here are 3 new pictures of my car.

1)

The point of this picture was to show all my hardwork on the t-top chrome, but apparently it didn't show. In case you cannot see, the left side of the photo(the passangers side), is much nicer then the right(drivers) side. As I said before, someone thought it would be cool to paint the chrome black, and Im slowly getting rid of all that. You can also see the chrome on the window molding, on the left side of the photo.
2)

The panel on the top is brand new from Wilcox. Im very happy with the quality and price(cheapest anywhere). The chrome peices used to look like the ones on the bottom panel, my old one. The trim was bad, so with some elbow greese, a razor blade, and some black paint, I got them to look almost like new.
3)

In my opinion this is just a cool pic. But its obvious I have lots of work left, expecally with that interior. :U That will be very soon. In fact after I took this picture, I parked it in its resting spot. It won't move until the interior is done.

Let me know what you guys think of the pics.

Daniel

Nice Work man. Keep it up. And btw do you really like that rear wing? I find it ugly but thats my opinion...

Rear wings are a really tricky thing... I saw a 79vette the other night with a thin metal civic style spoiler... it made sick to my stomach.... but the way I look at it is... if its actually a FUNCTIONAL spoiler... then Its cool... if its just a honda throw a 55" wing on the back to LOOK aerodynamic.. then its not. Not to say those 55" wings can't be functional, but most drivers don't spend the time to tune them.

origionally I didn't like the wing, but it grew on me. When it was painted I was tempted to have him fill the mounting holes, but I decided to keep it. If I ever get sick of it(cuts rearview mirror view a bit), then I will take it out and cover the holes somehow where its not all that noticable. But the wing is functional, so for now it'll be ok.

I saw a custom '69 on here one time with a similar wing but it was a little more "boxy" and it was blended in with the fenders that I thought was really  .

LeMans Blue with a blue pearl in the clear coat. It was origionally supposed to be lemans blue, but the body man put pearl in it too, no charge, so who am I to argue?(pearl, in case you didn't know, is very very pricey).. I love the color, Im glad I chose it. If I didn't pick this color it would have been a metallic or warbonnet yellow, those are my other two fav's....I saw a pic of a bronze vette too, I thought it was very  also. All I need are 2 more vettes(warbonnet and bronze), then I will have everything

AC, looking at yours, you don't need a repaint. well that L-88 could use some paint, but other then that it looks nice. Very purdy car :yesnod:

Daniel, you can tell by my pics and yours that mine is actually too dark. Yours is the correct shade. I know because my jambs are original and much lighter than the rest of the car. Good job to whoever did your paint, it looks like a very good LeMans Blue!

ya there are a few spots that I'd complain about, but according to others on the forum, the cost was on the lower side of things. If this is the case then I did darn good. They even installed new weatehrstripping for free(I had to supply the stripping of course).

I did notice yours was dark, but as far as blue goes, its a nice color of blue.
And the paint appears to be in good shape.

Daniel

The factory painted the windshield chrome black. They were trying to make some changes year to year so new ones would be recognized as new at the time. Too bad they didn't offer a med. blue in 77. Looks good. You need the front pace car spoiler.

Ya I was told the molding was supposed to be black, but Im going to get all that black paint off just to see. Worse case sanario is I have to paint it black, which it needed anyway. I also like how chrome looks aginst the blue...better then black anyway. We'll see.

Yes, the black can be taken off. Use fine steel wool, no razor blades & some chemical. Armourall, not silicone spray on the rubber. Original & no leaks. You might want to see 77 Facts on my website.
