Default Radiator support

I have a 73 coupe and it has the 27 1/2 wide radiator support, I have found a used 26 1/2 wide radiator support from a 72. Will the 26 1/2 work OK in my car or should I bite the bullet and buy the right one. My radiator is out right now so it is a good time to change, mine is pretty rusted so I need a new one anyway. Thanks in advance for the help.

They all interchange basically 68-82 but there are differences. 68-76E all use 1 style of radiator brackets; 76L-82 use a very different style. 82 has the upper cutout for cold air ducting. If it was me, I would get the correct wider one for your car, or go to the 76L-81 one-it has a big radiator.
