I've got an 78 L82 with 4 spd and need some type of carb port schematic that shows manifold versus port vaccum sources...I believe I need that anyway.
I followed the shop schematic for hooking up the emission hoses and immediately saw an improvement in performance but need to know the carb port vaccum sources because the shop manual did not offer the detail to do any troubleshooting.
I can get into it more but thought a schematic may be my best help...thanks.

On a '78 Q-Jet, all ports on the carb are manifold vacuum except the bottom port in the throttle plate on the forward passenger side (coming out at a 45-degree angle). That nipple is ported vacuum.

Ah...yes. And the difference is...
And why are different vacuum sources used for
1. distributor
2. emissions
3. EFE (preheat)
