Default Wiper Door Alignment 69

Just recently my wiper door has shifted from the passenger side to the drivers side. I have a large gap on the passenger side and almost no clearance on the drivers side. I see two screws that look like adjustment of some sort. Before I go nuts and tear it apart can someone give me an overview of adjustments that can be made, both level to the car and clearance on the sides. I have a service manual but I didn't see much there.

i just installed my wiper door on my 70 rebuild. i noticed that the coil helper spring had shifted off the seat about 1/4 inch so the mounting holes for the grill didn't line up with the holes on the transmission. put it in a vise and tapped it into position. hope this helps.

Good idea. Also, lube up the linkages, etc. and do whatever you can to get it working [U]without removing the wiper door bolts[U]. Removing (and likely breaking) those bolts is the beginning of "evil" repair problems. Hopefully, you can get it working without removing it.
