Does anyone know what the hood limitations are for a big block hood (not an L-88) with a small block engine. I am building a 383 with a Victor Jr. intake and have a Moroso drop base air cleaner with a 3" element. Is this going to cause me problems. I was also looking into a Performer RPM intake, if that would help any.
I have a Edelbrock proflo efi setup, which is based on a Victor Jr. intake, with a Moroso drop base intake it fits under the hood, but I think the air going in is somewhat restricted.
Also, I think there are several height Victor Jr. Intakes, so you might double check that you don't have the tall one.

Way cool, I am assuming you have bumper car since you called out a BB hood. In my 70 with a BB hood I have an Edelbrock RPM Airgap intake with a drop base air cleaner. Here is how much clearance I have and I have yet to have any touch on the hood. Been this way for a couple of years now.
