So if fixed my oil pressure problems... i think... (it hasn't spiked recently) but here a new thing the other day I was driving along and went over one of those famous california speed restrictors... the hole in the road that moving techtonic plates seem to like making... nothing happened bad, i saw it in time and slowed down but there the deal...
and maybe i'm putting two and two together and getting four and a half here...
but the rear end seems to be vibrating at speeds over 50mph. the engine runs fine, no shudders - the vibration seems to emmit from the rear end, possible driveshaft i'm thinking as when slowing down from 70 if the engine was revving a bit the vibration happens a bit also. nothing happens when cruising or pottering round town...
any ideas? you've all been more than helpful already!

Possibly a bent rim or maybe you threw a wheel weight?? Unless it was a critical impact, that's probably the first thing that would come to mind.
First step: Take the car by a tire shop, and have them balance ALL rims and tires. It's a good thing to do often anyway as tires wear they unbalance. That way, you're also checking to see if you do have a bent rim, or if you have an out of balance tire.
Second step: Perform this if no balancing issues have been found. Have all six U-joints checked. It's probably one at the rear end as you said but a drive shaft U-joint going bad will cause some bad vibrations, and they can start in the range anywhere from 20 to 50 depending on how bad the joint is.
