SuprJames,
If it was my car, I'd try and turn that supercharger around so that the inlet was at the REAR of the engine. This would greatly simplify the drive system and, with no distributor up the back, there should be enough room for your throttle body amd air cleaner. With a 90 degree bend, you could tap into the high pressure air at the base of the windscreen like the '73 and '74 cars with their "cowl induction" hoods.

Great project though, keep up the reports.

IF you have anything near factory a/c on a shark, you are simply not going to be able to go up and over for air inlet and keep stock hood opening arrangement.....I have posted about front compound hinges, rear hinges, front pins, the works.....thought this over for several months now, have most of the ducting, but not the cobra oval up and over,.....I have taken 1/2 step on reverse hinge hood and done a hood pin arrangement in front, seems ok so far....stock rear latches still...they will be going, just not sure in favor of what yet....

I still looking at cutting top of rad support, that will give me several inches....nearly 3" I think....so to put an oval pipe shaped/located right, and get it welded into the support in correct position....

oh the joys of hotrodding.....

Ya, looking back I should it would've been alot easier to go with a reversed system. Unfortuanetly, I've about hit my budget on what I'm willing to spend on this engine, so I'm going to make what I have work.

I'll probably be cutting the radiator support. Between the MAF sensor, filter, and 90 MM ducting I'm just hoping it will all fit.

Love those wheels.

If you notch the rad support at the top for more room and possibly drop the radiator an inch or so you should be ok. Fabing some relocating brackets for the bottom radiator supports shouldn't be difficult, the top will take some creativity.
I think notching the support is your best bet.

Man, nowhere near those guys!! My vette might be hot rodded, but those guys have gone completely beyond that with their engineering skills. I just have a Vette with a bunch of bolt-ons from Van Steel and a few custom pieces here and there. Mostly tips and ideas I've gotten from others here on the forum. Those guys are WAY beyond that! If they want a spreader bar they build it. That's skills. Thanks for the compliment though

SJ, your ride looks absolutely incredible bad-azz!!! The fun, I mean frustration, of building something unique is just enough to keep you lying awake in bed churning ideas out while you take two steps forward and one back every time you install another part. It will be worth it though. You will have a Vette like no other.

One thought on the intake. I just took this system off a GTO that I am doing some work on and it looks like it might fit the bill perfectly. MAF is at the end with the Air Cleaner. Can get other shots if you would like.

Wow, that bend is tight enought that it just might work. My first instinct was to go to the fender for cool air, but I really didn't think I could get a bend tight enough for that. Can you get a measurement from where the throttlebody was on the 90 to the edge closest to the front of the car so I know if it will fit between the core support and throttlebody? That's a 90mm TB on the GTO right? Thanks for the pic!

Man, you make me wish I'd gotten a polished hot rod style supercharger!

How about I ship it down to you and you try it and see if it fits. If it does, you can just order one up. If the owner wants to sell it, at least you know if it will fit first.

Email me if you want me to ship it to you or just want some measurements. And yes, 90mm TB.

Thats what keeps me logging into the forum every morning...and every hour on the hour...sometimes inbetween.

SJ, let us know how you make out. Post some pics even if it doesn't fit, might be able to figure out some tweeking in the setup for a better fitment.
