Default Starter wont fit!

I am close to getting her back on the road, but I guess you all came across some of these naging issues...

1. My starter the came on the 88 motor, wont fit through the bell housing on that came with my 69 vette

2. My mods to the 88 accessory brakets worked great, until I SOFTLY layed the hood on and found they are 3.5 inches too high, so.... back to the chopping block to lower it...

3. E-brakes are an issue, not sure how to get the lever to work... not sure how it works, it only moves the back shoe out... that makes sence... not sure what would push the front shoe out...

Might I add... the starter is offset bolt, all the mini high torques I see are straight across pattern.

Actually the motor came out of a 88 truck, the truck was standard shift, not sure if it was 4 or 5 speed, but the motor came from another car as I understand it..... But I will check out a parts store and match them up and see what I can find out. Thanks.

And yes.... Mine is a 4-speed with the 4:11's I CANT WAIT TO TEST THEM OUT! lol
