I have a Rochester carb number 4041208 laying in the garage, can someone tell me what car it original came from?

Are you sure about the carb number? I couldn't locate that one in Lars' list but I did find:
7041208 CHEV 71 350 SERIES 20 & 30 TRUCK
By the way, his White Paper on Q-Jet tuning which includes numbers and specs can be found at:

There is no Rochester carb with that number. All Rochester carbs start with a "7" or "17."
If the number is 7041208 it's a '71 truck carb, and it can be set up to run well on a Vette with some minor re-jetting.
