Question, ’68 specific.
With all the talk of how bad the reproduction carpet is I’m planning an attempt to dye my original carpet, with the hopeful outcome of the original color. This sounds more simple then it really is according to my understanding of the ’68 “414” trim code (Medium blue, vinyl).
All the restoration suppliers list the same vinyl dye for the ’68 414 code as the ’69 & ’70 411 code. Are these truly the same color? If not, is 411 slightly brighter then 414?
