Default L88 Hood question.

http://picasaweb.google.com/chuckwcarson/New_Hood

I bought this L88 hood (pin on hood) and I just got it and laid it on top of the car. It's not connected yet, but I was trying to line it up and it seems a bit off (as you can see by the images). I was wondering if the hoods from 73-82 were that much differant or do I just need to cut it to fit?

thanks for taking a look.

If you are talking about the side clearance in this pic, then yes they need to be sanded/ground to fit.

If you are talking about this (can not tell if the hood is seated all the way to the front) no you should not have that much extra hood.

73vette_red -- i purchased an L-88 hood from Wilcox and it fits great. No issues. The pics you post look as if the hood is not desigtned properly -- I would send it back and get one that fits correctly.
