I bought my steroids rack in 2003, installed it in 2004 and haven't had a problem out of it since. Everything bolted right in exactly where and how it was supposed to with no clearnace issues of any kind. Considering that I'm kind of a noob when it comes to working on cars and if this upgrade failed on me I'd pretty much be dead I was extremely paranoid about it for the first year or so driving it and must have checked it and had it checked a few dozen times
I contacted SpeedDirect about the problem and here was their response:
"That sounds a bit odd – perhaps the lines got a little bent in shipping? The only thing we can think of is to try bending it out of the way enough to clear. Sorry we don’t have a better idea, but that is not something we have run into. If you need a new line, we have them available."
That is an interesting response when they already know that some units had the lines clocked wrong. I guess I will just remove the bracket and grind off the sharp corner where the retaining bolt for the right link comes through.
