Only the right side turnsignals are not working. I turn them on, and they stay solid...no blinking. Left works fine. Hazards all around work fine. Is this the turn signal flasher "can" that I've heard about?
Had a similar problem on my '79. For me, it was a bad ground for the circuit. One or more of the bulbs didn't have ground contact. Cleaned and then checked each bulb's connector to ground. Worked fine ever since.

Sounds more like a burnt out lamp - front or rear, on the right side.
If it was the flasher, it would affect both sides.
If the right side turnsignal bulbs are OK and are lighting up but not flashing I would replace the turn signal flasher it self, it can happen that one side is working and one side isn't....
Check the bulb socket. They get loose after 35-40 years. Also, check the wire harness at the socket. Those contacts are spring loaded. Get a circuit tester and start there. then work your way back.
I had a similar problem with my '69. I replaced the flasher, bulbs and finally replaced the entire socket assembly. The socket assembly finally fixed it.

Most times it is a bad rear socket. Take the screws out of the lens and pull it out. With the turn signal on wiggle the small wire on the side of the socket if it starts blinking replace the socket.
I was able to tighten mine by simply squeezing them very lightly with a pair of channel lock pliers. They have worked fine for the last couple of years.
