74 oil pressure sensor relocation??
Guys
have a 74 - changed the distributor over to HEI - the tach cable hits the oil pressure sensor that is mounted on the head beside the distributor....are there any other style sensors available other than the big top style or can it be relocated elswhere?

On my 74 the oil pressure sensor is just above the oil filter. Ive also seen them mounted on the block between the motor mount and the timing chain cover just above the oil pan rail. Probably were a oil galley plug goes. Or are you talking about the temp sensor that is mounted in the head? If thats the case Ive seen it mounted on the intake manifold or on the upper radiator house housing on the intake manifold.

Put a brass 90* stereet elbow on it, or use the port right above the oil filter.
