My DieHard Security has been working flawlessly for over a year and a half. The security feature was the only reason I bought the battery. The battery in the car was fine. If they want my DieHard, they'll have to go find my old battery and give me all my money back.
But I don't plan to give it up. It is a great product, in my opinion, and I'll only trade it for another battery with the same security features.
BTW -
They haven't stopped advertising it. Nor is there any press info at their web site or anywhere else I could find.
I have had my Security Battery for a year and I love it. They will have to come and take mine OMDB, or alot of money! The only trouble I had was my fault, I accidently put the battery on armed with the remote and was working on the car. While working in the interior the courtesy lights it drew the battery down. So, I decided to charge the battery. Later I started the car drove around, came back and hit the arm button. Nothing happened. Apparently, I fried the computer part, when the charging the battery. I guess you can't charge the battery when it was last armed. The 2 Sears stores I go to did not know anything. They didn't know much about the battery in general either. Seems Sears fell down on employee training. Also, the owners manual does not state any precautions about charging. But in any event I love this battery and I hate alarms. If I have to go with an alarm eventually, I'll go with LoJack, but it costs!
Mark :)
I was warned about charging with it armed when i bought mine about 2 months ago. I also wont give mine up. I havent had any problems except me forgetting ot disarm it and my car not starting. :chevy
