AIM...is umm....I dunno its exact turm, but its an assembly manual...I guess its exactly how the car was put together on the assembly line...I also think it does exploded views of all the parts...Its supposed to be a good book to have, I still don't know where to get one, so Im stuck with my crummy repair manual..
Assembly Instruction Manual. Shows how your vette is put together. Uses perspective line drawings (3d, if you will). A great thing to have. All the major vendors sell 'em. Gotta have the index that goes along with it. tom
"Assembly Instruction Manual". It was used on the assembly line, and basically shows with diagrams how everything goes together, with part numbers, torque specs, etc. One of the best friends of the Corvetters, together with the Chevrolet Service Manual.
I make two "first purchases" when I buy a Corvette: #1, an owner's manual for the model year if the car does not have the original, and #2, the AIM for that model year.
My AIMs are my single, best, and most useful Corvette reference sources.
They are worth the cost. Buy one for your model year.
