Need Shift Indicator Lamp Socket
GEEEZ.. :mad I can't locate one anywhere :crazy: Seems the previous owner took it out and left the cut wires taped up :smash: The lamp socket I seek illuminates the auto trans shift indicator in my '77. Any suggestions?? : Thanks cheers: :seeya :seeya :seeya

I would try to find one at a Corvette junkyard or something. Or maybe there is a simular part in other GM cars?

I need exactly the same part for my '73. Actually, the post that suggested a Corvette salvager or using a socket from another GM vehicle is probably our best bet. According to my AIM, the wire, connector, and socket are a separate part and have their own part number. For my '73, it's 6901012. I'm in the process of trying to locate that part, or at least get a spec for the socket. There are also lots of wrecking yards in the area where I live and I'm going to see if I can run one down that way. If I can find an extra, I'll let you know.

Thanks a ton nox. Keep yer eyes peeled, as I will do the same for you. Their aren't too many grave yards in northern Illinois, and the ones that are here, are picked clean of older parts. I'll be lookin for "US" both :cheers: :seeya :seeya

I am in the same boat with you guys. Can't locate through normal channels. I went to NAPA and the real non vehicle counter help had no clue. If you guys locate any extra ones please advise. I will do also.
