I took the door panel off and shot some aersol white lithium grease down through the window and on to the rollers in the track. Helped with a window that was slow going up and down. I didn't have to take anything apart and only had to clean the overspray off the window.
You didn't mention if you heard the motor turning or not. If it is turning, the regulator gear or the scissors mechanism it operates is damaged somewhere and you will have to get in there to fix it. If it is not turning, your problem is just electrical...but it could be the motor [or motor brushes], switch, wiring, relay, or fuse.
My driver side window did that, I pulled the window and track out and cleaned the tracks. The grease in the window track was hard as a rock. While the window was out, I replaced all of the rollers and associated hardware so I wouldn't have to do it again in the near future.
Its Old, no sence in screwing around with it, the Bubba period is over. Take it apart, clean and inspect, replace the worn rollers, gears, regulator, spring. Reassemble and (at this point I lube, some dont) readjust. Good for another 25 yrs
