solid roller rockers
Hey man it was great meeting you this last weekend. I hope you had fun walking around in the cold and the rain.
Standard stamped rockers get better contact, but rollers have a smooth roller trunnion. It's a shame no one makes a good stamped rocker with roller trunnions.
Either should be fine unless you're expecting very high RPMs in which case I would choose stamped.

I think they are worth it though as you get a life time guarantee, that's right, you send them a worn out Hi Tech RR and you get a brand new one back for the price of shipping, I have got four replaced so far

I'm not 100% certain tonight but I don't believe the "Hi-Tech Stainless" actually do have the same warranty, but they are rebuildable where the Pro-Magnums are not.
I am positive about the warranty on the Pro-Magnums however. But you must read the fine print here too, as the warranty only applies to the rocker "body" itself against breakage, not the trunnion rollers or the roller tip!
(Add) 63Mako: (Correction) The Pro-Magnums are not stainless steel, they are made with 8650-Chromemoly, same material as many wrist pins! Actually 3X stronger than the aluminums!
Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
P.S. Either way both rockers are excellent. I use a number of the Pro-Magnums here for the 100% stock appearing units, as they fit under the "bone-stock" factory valve cover height with a single thick valve cover gasket!

I think the later stamped rockers, like found on the LT1 motors have a much thicker wall, and are a lot sturdier. I see your point though.

The problem I was having was happening to the "ears" of the rocker that hold the roller so I guess that would classify as the "body" of the rocker

I have Comp Pro Magnums.

Maybe try to reset the guide plates. Have had some past problems with the AFR heads couple times myself.
