My '75 Roadster's windshield washer pump works sometimes...and sometimes it doesn't. What is the easiest way to tboubleshoot this problem? It looks pretty tough to get it out....any ideas please? Thanks, Larry
If the pump always comes on you have a pump problem. If the pump does not always come on check to see if you are getting power to the pump during this time. This will eliminate switch and wiring issues if there is always power.
Process of elimination starting with simple issues first.
its a major pain in the --- to get out. need to get a socket into the washer tank and stick your hand into the side vent to unscrew and remove. install the same way get a helper its eaiser that way.

I just removed mine this weekend ('76)... it wasn't bad at all. I removed the 2 screws that hold the tank to the body then used a deep well socket to remove the filter inside the tank. Mine has the filter that is inside the tank which is threaded onto the motor. I removed that and the motor came off the bottom of the tank. There is a connector on the pump for power and the line that goes to the wipers. Those came off pertty easy too. I got a pump from Advanced Auto for 19.44 after taxes...
