Default Tire Size - Early C3

i'm prob gonna get a '71 (definately something within 68-72) with the factory 15" rally rims. so i'm thinking 255/60/15's? do any of you run anything wider? or reccomend something different?

I have 245 60 15 on front and 255 60 15 on rear, there are BFG T/A Radials, but some have reported they are on back order

you can get a 275/60/15 on the rear but that's it for a stock 15" rim.

Hi

I have 235 front and 275 back on my 68. On 8 " rims ( not the original 7 " 68 rims ).
I choose 235 front due to no PS car.

well, for now i'm gonna stick with the stock rally rims so i guess i'll shove 275/60/15's on the rear. how wide do you think i COULD go on the front, if i so desired?

I have 255 60R 15's all round on my '72 BB and only find on a tight lock there is the very slightest rub on the front inner skirt. It has not damaged the tire or the fender. If I got new tires would put 245's on the front.

Not only should they fit w/o rubbing, but the 245's will result in better sidewall stability than larger sizes when combined with the factory rims, to boot.
