Same here. I have tried to get it to seal w/o welding but have now given up. I plan to grind off the chrome in 2 spots on the back side and mig weld it together. I'm waiting till I put the headers on so it will be permanent.

Anyone know of a way to keep it from leaking ( maybe something to put inbetween to seal it)
A while back there was a guy use'n a few wraps of Aluminum Tape around the inside end to seal his up.

Mounted mine to the side of the frame and used the rubber washers there, it worked great and they sound awsome thank you guys for all the info Bob

I got mine to seal 2 weeks ago without having to weld them. I took the car out and got the exhaust good and hot, lots of idling and city traffic. then I got a 12" long section of 2x4 and placed it on the lower, inside, primary pipe, then I drove the collector into the sidepipe by hammering the 2x4. I let it cool without driving the car. It's been in there without popping out for 2 weeks and it's never made it more than a day prior to this method. The car sounds even beeter without an exhaust leak. Lots of backpressure to these sidepipes but the sound rocks.
