Seat inserts '80
Do the leather inserts in the seat shells come free of the shell.
Looks to me they have a spring attachment into the shell bottom and top.
How would you release if they come free?
Want to put on some covers and this would seem best way.

Here's a tip:
Yes, the wires go under the clip on the brackets. That is easier said than done. What I finally did that helped a lot was to open the clips just a bit to make it easier to clip the wire of the new cushions into. You'll save some skinned knuckles.

Took me about a half hour to change mine out. Just push the backs towards their centers, and they should pop out. For the bottoms, get your hand under and push the wire back out of the clip, and pull the seat up.

- Took me about an hour for each seat and could not squeeze my hands the next day. I also had to trim some of the new Foam away from the wires so i could get the backs to clip. Worst job of my interior resto.
