Default LT-1 swap

I was planning to mod my engine but my friend got an LT-1 from a 1995 camaro for sale at 1500$ (can) and I was wondering if it's a big job to get it in. He got all the wiring with the ECM.

I took the number on the head and the engine: SGI 8234, 06043A
Anybody knows how many HP this engine have?

Someone tell-me to remove all the injection stuff and the ECM and put an intake and carburator... is-it a good idea?

Is-it possible to fit a 700 R4 with that
Too many question running in my head

Thanks for your usefull advise!

Honestly in my opinion if you just want to slap a carb on an LT1, it will have no real advantages over the conventional gen 1 smallblock. I drove an Lt1 six-speed Formula for about 6 years & it is a great engine. Smooth & pleanty of power, but alot of that is attributed to the fuel injection. So in order to make the swap worth while I think you need to go the extra mile & retain the FI.

It should be an easy swap, as the only things that you will really have to contend with are the cooling system (you would have to find hoses that will work) & the accesory drive from the camaro I don't believe will work with the vette chassis, you will need to use the system from a LT1 vette.

Lastly you can use a 700r4 behind the LT1 I believe the 93's used 700's & after 93 they went to the electronicly controled trans.

One more thing- the 95's are rated at 275net hp. The 96& up were 285hp but were tougher to modify because they used the OBD2 system. 95's used the OBD1 system & were more accomidating to engine mods.

Hope this helps.
