Default 81 suspension question

My 81 sits lower on the left, front to rear. The frame is actually lower. In the rear 1 1/4 inch. Question, do the factory rear springs, composit, ever just give up? Can the bolts to the end of the spring be adjusted this much? or do I need a new rear spring and possibly coils in the front. I need a cheap fix. There is an indication that air shocks have been used in the back, individually controlled although new regular shock are now installed. Thanks

I'm not sure about the source of your problem, but please, avoid the cheap fix. Fix it right, someone's life may depend on it. God bless, Sensei

I didn't mean that cheap! In other words, I know I could replace all springs, and even go to the composit front. I would rather go one item at a time. If rear bolt adjustment can take this much out, OK. If I need a new spring OK. (perhaps a forum member has one!!) In my thinking, 3/4 inch adjustment in opposite direction on either side might do it, If I am chasing a crappy spring then naturally it probably wouldn't do it. There is an indication that air shocks, seperately controlled were installed at some time, maybe to correct this lean. New regular shocks are on the car now.

The ForumStore has what you may need here. A lot of times a car's improper stance is due to deficiencies in the rear spring and/or front coils or the shocks for both front and rear. Remember your car is over 25 years old now, if you still have the original suspension components installed, its very possible that you are overdue for a change.
