Hi,
I have an 81 4-spd w computer controlled carb and distributor. I want to change to non-computer carb and distributor. A couple other forum members have 1979 and 1980 carbs/distributors for sale but I dont know if they are different for automatics Vs 4-speeds.
If anyone can help w some knowlage, I can make a decision on this.
Thanks in advance for any help.
The distributor is the same but there is/are difference(s) in the carb. i don't know what they are but the casting numbers are different for manual vs automatic.

The carbs and distributors for MT versus AT are fully interchangable. The AT carbs typically have a stud provision on the throttle arm for the kickdown cable. The MT carbs do not. The carbs are otherwise the same, and the casting numbers are the same - only the carb number differs to show the linkage configuration difference.
