I posted this info here in C3 tech because we are always having muffler discussion and dyno discussion, that was the whole point of my thread, not to talk about F-bodies.... I care about research for C3s but used the other car for testing...This is an muffler/exhaust/dyno tech thread... Can we move it back? I will change the title for christsakes...

Ummmmm...a Firebird Trans Am is an F-Body. There is a specific section on the Forum for F-Body posts...no matter what the subject.
If they allow posts about Firebirds, then Mustangs, Dodge Chargers, Buick Grand Sports, and every other car will end up on the C3 forum.
By your logic, I can discuss a battery problem in a Cadillac just because a battery is also being discussed on the C3 Forum. That doesn't make any sense.

P.S. You should have PMed a mod instead of posting here.

It would be better to PM them with your concerns. Your request seems valid, but the mods have been touchy lately about being called out.

Yeah the mods would rather be PMed first on this type of thing, and seeing as this will just be locked, here is an picture of my car because I am a show off.

I followed the post and found it very informative. I feel it was technical in nature and just because it wasn;t a corvette he used for the testing the information gathered was still valid for our corvettes.
I would like to see it back

Norval...I have some technical information on Dyson vacuum cleaners. I use it to vacuum my Vette. Should I start posting that too?

ROFLMAO!!!!

You obviously didn't see the picture I posted in Jughead's Old Timers thread.

I am neither little nor miserable. I am a fat, jolly guy that would like to see the C3 Forum stay as a C3 forum and not an "all cars general information that covers everything and anything under the sun Forum". F-body cars belong in the F-Body section. The mods already decided this. And further pissing and moaning in this thread is just

Some of us have the same engine in their 'Vette, and we do have a few "sharp knives in the drawer" here in the C-3 tech forum when it comes to tech questions.

My entire purpose of that thread was to discuss exhaust flow and how it relates to HP to the wheels. There was recently a thread with a link to a muffler shootout involving a 5.0 mustang. I read the article like 3 times because it offered good info, TRUE dyno testing and well documented info we could all use for the C3s.

An engine is an engine, transmission a tranny and exhaust is exhaust. As soon as I posted my dyno thread, I had several members reading and replying to it, several of which are well known and respected builders/racers. I felt it was the beginning of a viable thread that builders could read and post on, add info and advice.

Not to mention Budman has my exact setup I tested above in his 76 vette so it directly correlates to vettes.

I guess if they don't bring it back , they don't bring it back, just don't be suprised if you see the EXACT same thread started on a 1969 C3 with a cammed LS1 and a borla exhaust.that I just dynoed today.

OH and I should have PMd the mods, I never even thought about it, sorry.

If that were true, we would have a bunch of posts about Buick, Cadillac, Chrysler, Dodge, Edsel, Ferrari, Ford, Hudson, Lancia, Mangusta, Opel, Pontiac, Porsche, Studebaker, Stutz Bearcat, and Volvo, just to name a few. But this is the C3 Corvette Forum. Just make sure you don't talk about any of the other cars to the exclusion of the Vette, and you'll be just fine. When you talked about just an F-Body Firebird, it immediately became an F-Body thread. Didn't matter if it had a Vette engine, trans, and rear end.
You gotta play by the rules or this stuff will happen.
Learn from your mistakes.

Ajrothm could have posted the exact same thread without mentioning what car the LS1 engine is installed in.... everybody (most likely incl. Dep) would have been happy....
