lt1 heads help
my dad was going to get me a set of LT1 heads through GM service parts (he's a GM retiree and gets a nice discount), but they are currently on back order,so it looks like my choices are pay retail with Jim Pace (if he's got them in stock) or buy a used set. Before I suck it up, does anybody have a set they would like to part with?

Are you looking for the new LT1 heads or the old LT1 heads. There are much better heads tha nthe old ones out there now. GM makes a set of fast burn heads that if you can get a deal on them they are great heads. I don't even think the old heads are available anymore

For performance potential, i agree. Unfortunately, they won't allow the fast burns at the factory stock drag races. I was speaking of the old LT1 heads. They are actually still available from GM (The service replacement). MY dad retired from GM and can buy the parts directly from GM service parts at a discount. we attempted to get them this week, but they were on back order. At any rate, I ended up ordering a set from Jim Pace yesterday. They had 13 sets (I guess that's why GM didn't have any in stock!!). I'll let you guys know how it runs when done.
