Default Guage Question...

Hi, I have a question about gauges... but its for my other car (please don't throw anything!) :)

I need a boost gauge for my Eagle Talon (Mitsubishi Eclipse), I bought intellitronix digital gauges for my vette that i really like, is the intellitronix digital boost gauge "good"? its 0-100psi, the cheapo gauges i see on the import sites are -30-0-30, do I really need the -30-0? I can't imagine why my turbo would have a vaccuum instead of boost (maybe thats because i don't know a lot about turbos....)

who makes good digital gauges (preferably 52 or 60mm) and who makes them in Blue leds? (intellitronix is red, which is nice, but doens't go with the motif in the talon)

And Do I need an air/fuel or Exhaust temp gauge in a moderate-high boost environment?

Thanks!

No supercharged, blown or turbo motor makes boost under normal driving conditions. They all have vacuum under normal cruise. If they make boost the motor would run away with itself. You would have no control. I like to know what my vacuum is under normal idle, light cruise then I want to know the boost so a 30-0-30 is the gage I would want. A 0-100 gage is useless. You are just using a very small part of it.
Go with a normal 30-0-30 gage.

Thanks. Sorry for the obvious lack of knowledge about artificial aspiration on my part.

Does anyone know of a digital 30-0-30 gauge? (I love digital gauges, hehe)

Dakota Digital has a 30-0-30 guage in blue LED, but its not round... so i'd have to figure out how to mount it without it looking stupid. I know a lot of people buy their gauges for their vettes or hotrods... Are they worth the extra $?

Why in god's name did they make the gauge rectangular! :)

Anyone know of other digital guages?

Woohoo!

DakotaDigital makes a 2 1/16" round 30-0-30 vac/boost gauge! Chrome or Black bezel... I chose black, the chrome looks so good, but not in a ricer...

Just FYI, Dakota Digital has a Lot of products not currently on their web page, their in the process of making a new page. So if your looking for nice digital gauges (in Blue LED), i suggest you email them, they were very quick to respond.

I also have Intellitronix red led digital gauges in my vette which is super
