1968 power windows
Need some help. I replaced both power window switches and the relay switch under the console. I have No power getting to the power window switches. I jumped the power window switches from the fuse box to the switches and both window motors work. I'm having a problem finding the short or problem from the fuse box to the relay switch in the console. Any ideas or common problems? My vette is a 1968 427, convertible if that helps.

One of the wires (single) that plugs into your relay on the console should be orange and black. This one feeds thru the firewall and goes to a 40 amp breaker mounted between the windshield wiper motor and the brake cylinder. The other side of the breaker has a red wire that goes to the horn relay. Unplug the orange and black wire at the console relay and see if you are getting 12 volts there. As`usual with a C3 make sure you have a good ground on the relay as well.
This information is based on my 69 so I am assuming your 68 is the same. The brown wire that pulgs into the fusebox does not power the actual window motors it just powers up the relay.
