73 Vette,..on my tail-light wiring harness, just after it exits the interior, there are three wires coming out of the harness; two pink ones that go to the alarm horn and one yellow (or tan) wire. To what does this yellow wire attach?
Nope,..the tail-light wires are all accounted for,..plus this wire wouldn't reach. This yellow (or tan) wire exits the factory wiring harness below the alarm horn and is about 10-12" long.
I don't think the car had a power antenna,..nor I do I believe it was an option in 73.
There's a place on the frame where the antenna's ground plate is grounded with a copper strap, and my mystery wire would reach that,..but I have a hard time believing a yellow wire could be a ground.
The yellow one is supposed to be on the bolt that holds the alarm horn to the body. It goes up into the storage boxes and to the flasher that makes the alarm pulse when it goes off.
