Tremec 6 speed?

Would a Tremec 6 speed from a 2002 Corvette Z06 require large modifications when it will be in a 72 BB. Besides the obvious, do I need to alter the tunnel, drive shaft etc.

Will not work. T-56's from Vettes mount on the axle in the back. It would be easier to just cut your body off and glue it to a C-5 frame.

Try the Richmond 6 speed or 5 speed. The mods are minimal, fits in the tunnel and is a tough transmission.

Or find a T56 from a Viper.

You could do it but you will need an aftermarket frame like this

and you will need to cut out the storage compartment. A t56 out of a camaro or gto would fit though.

or get a T56 from a late model camaro and install that. Its the best upgrade Ive ever done. Only prob is I havent decided how I am going to get my speedo working again since the T56 is designed for an electronic speedo.
