Default Pricing My 76

I am very familar with C2 pricing but I'm not sure about our C3. It is an orignal 27,000 mile car, never hit, all original numbers, runs great and always been inside. It's brown on brown with leather interior. I've had thoughts of selling it but not sure. Paint is good but not show quality. I am thinking in the $13,500.00 range. Does that sound high, low or around the mark.

All comments would be appreciated.

selling a c3? Is that even legal?

Anyway. as for a '76, you're in the same boat as me with my '77...compared to other C3's they aren't AS desirable, so I would think about $8,000-$12,000 depending on its condition, and what would need to be done. Low mile cars look good on paper, but when you start to factor in rotting rubber, it decomes a costly project.

Of course a big difference is, they actually make parts for a 76...a '77...no way...it was a transitional year, it has a lot of "77 only" peices on it that are not remanufactured or manufactured because of the 49,000 made, only about half actually need a certain part...25,000 parts seems like a lot, but cost of manufacturing outweighs it, so its not smart for manufactures to make one year only parts...owning a '77 is "fun"...

Anyway, back to your origional question, I'd say 8-12K....13K if you find the right buyer and depending on how much needs to be done. To me 13-14 is about top-of-the-line for a '76(maybe 15...)

Thanks Daniel, I appreciate the feed back. This car want need any of the normal items a 76 usually needs. I will just have to find that right person if we don't chicken out and keep it another 12 years.

I have a 76 that is all worked, back to stock that is, and what you are talking about, depending on the options in the car, tilt/tele, p/w p/b p/s delux interior, etc, I would think that an origional 27k car is easily worth the money that you are asking. It is the high end of the spectrum but no milage to speak of, heck the car has just gotten broken in :D
just my .02
